Sports nutrition has more and more followers. And it is no wonder, taking into account that physical exercise is one of the most essential pillars of our health. However, many times the taste and texture of foods and beverages on the sports field are lacking in variety. Many professionals specializing in sports nutrition consider that they will not be able to offer their clients large delicatessen or an extensive menu.

Now in IGH FlavoursWe set out to change that widespread belief around food shortages in sports nutrition. In fact, we’ve always been a strong advocate that eating healthy shouldn’t be considered a punishment or boring. In fact, it was from this premise that we decided to launch the little slogan of “flavoring sports nutrition.”

One of the central drawbacks of this food segment is the bitterness and, why not, the strangeness of many food and beverage flavors. For this reason, we focus on masking, covering and reducing those flavors that sometimes end up being so unpleasant. But we don’t stop there! We like to experiment and, apart from offering the classic flavors such as strawberry, vanilla or chocolate, we decided to show that the range of flavors in sports nutrition could be very wide.

Now, how do we achieve such an ambitious challenge? Our operation is very simple and, broadly speaking, is based on the following principles:

  • Know the food segment perfectly, thanks to our R&D team specialized in sports nutrition and in many other areas.
  • Maintain a constant and direct relationship between this R&D team and our clients and their needs.
  • Take advantage of the feedback offered to continue perfecting the different flavours of the segment in question, in this case that of sports nutrition.
  • Bet on a wide expiration date, between 12 and 18 months, to offer the end customer a greater margin of maneuver.
  • Offer the widest possible variety of formats, so that each consumer chooses the one that best suits their tastes and needs.

Here we present our wide variety of products that we offer in the sports nutrition segment. We also include some of the benefits they provide and what specific objectives each format has. Take note!

  • Flavours. Its objectives are to add flavor and smell, mask unpleasant flavors and offer a more pleasant intake. As for the benefits they offer, they allow to achieve a homogeneous flavor, making the eating process pleasant due to the wide variety of flavors (such as the citrus range, which offers a very refreshing sensation). In addition, the flavours can be found in both liquid and powder formats.
  • Maskers. As its name suggests, its mission is to mask and even modify some flavors. These products are 100% natural and help us to avoid the bitter flavors of many foods, some of which end up being necessary in sports nutrition, such as stevia.
  • Emulsions. This liquid product is applied to ready-to-drink drinks, giving them flavour, flavor, turbidity and sometimes even color. That is why its main advantage is to have three benefits in a single product: flavor, turbidity and color. In addition, emulsions completely reduce the feeling of heaviness of many flavors.
  • More sweetening flavours.Either in powder or liquid format, this product offers flavor to a food or drink that is in itself neutral.   • Gels. These are already finished concentrated drinks that we offer from IGH to recover all the mineral salts lost during physical exercise. Apart from salts, they also provide carbohydrates and vitamins to our body. They are perfectly preserved and their single-dose packaging format allows them to be easily transported anywhere.
  • Syrup. Your goal is to be able to eat syrup that is low in fat and provides as few calories as possible. In addition to being free of fat and calories, it is sugar-free, gluten-free and suitable for people with vegan nutrition. They can be applied in smoothies, ice creams or even fresh fruit, to name a few examples.
